In 2007, the Adolescent Suicide Prevention Project and the South Shore School Partnership for Health were merged under a new name; Youth Health Connection. (YHC). The goal is to advance positive youth health outcomes through knowledge, risk prevention, collaboration, respect and connectedness.  Youth Health Connection is a Community Benefits Program of South Shore Hospital.  Its Medical Director is Barbara J.
